NV Cockburn's Fine Ruby

Post by RonnieRoots »

We opened this as Cheap Ruby, in order to celebrate :tpf: first anniversary and to oblige to the task of tasting something of LadyR's rank.

Dark ruby colour, with slight brown and metallic touch. It stings on the nose. Boy, is this hot! Chemical, paint and sweet, artificial candy. Taste: HOT!! Very sweet, with maybe somewhere an attempt to dark fruit, but it turns out chemical. Hot and bitter finish. Very bad.

75 points. 50 for it being port (it says so on the label) and 25 for being red.

I thought it's a crime to consiously poison some one... That port was horible, no moment of joy whatsoever.

Don't have my TN's with me here, but below summarises it more or less:

Pale, too light coloured, watery substance, with a hint of candy strawberry overwhelmed by violent paint smell and taste. Cheers...
