Emergency decant.

+30 mins
Lovely soft cherry nose. Thick and chewy with bags of tannin and a little heat. Predominant tastes are plums and anicede. This will be much better when it opens up in a few years.

Half of the bottle went straight in the fridge for proper decanting tomorrow or later this week.

This is very nice port and an absolute steal at the £11.50 I paid for it :D

My local Sainsbury Manager took a rush of blood to the head a few months ago and sold it at 50% off with an extra 5% off if you bought more than 6

:!: :?: :!:

Considering that the Graham LBV was the only non-Ruby Port available in my local Sainsbury’s, I think I need to move out of the East End.

A full 6 days after opening I have just uncorked the half bottle that was placed in the fridge immediately after decanting. I have let warm up for 30 minutes or so since removing it from the fridge.

+6 Days (refridgerated)
Cherry on the nose. Lovely dark plummy fruit in the mouth. The tannins are much softer than I recall from last week but it still has a very dry finish. A very good weight and a wine to be enjoyed for many years to come.

For all the bargain hunters out there in the UK this is one to watch in Sainsburys. It often sells at a considerable discount, particularly around Christmas and when you see it with a chunk of money off you should buy all you can afford and stick some away somewhere to let it mature.
