1967 Cockburn: clear dark red, with little nose. Lovely sweet mouth-filling length, with heat coming late, and great length. Good port, particularly so for a year that wasn’t a general declaration.

My 24th TN of the day says "Thick and sumptuous". I agree with JDAWs assessment.

Deep red and quite youthful in appearance. A lovely nose that just lifts itself out of the glass, with mint and gentle red fruits. In the mouth this port delivers wonderful redcurrant fruit with good density and decent levels of complexity. This port is drinking well today but will hold well for at least another 10 years. 89/100.

Tasting Notes
Lighter than the 1966 (which we did not ship), but very fine quality. It is more subtle wine, more for those who are looking for nuances rather than massive fruit. Good colour and great integration of spirit. Rich and firm.
Other
When our friends Taylor and Croft, after shipping the '66s, brought out their single quinta '67s Vargellas and Roeda, we were happy to say ‟We told you so”. Martinez also preferred to offer the 1967. (W. Fletcher in 1978)
