1984 Kopke Porto Colheita
raisins and honey, a bit thin (it followed the 77 fonseca), and alot of heat.

about a 91 pointer for me. it was last of the evening of about 15 wines so my palate may have been a bit fatigued!

wine-searcher shows no availability in the USA (had this in montreal), i'd love to find it again and give it a chance on it's own.

I've had the '83 and the '87, but never the '84. Your notes ring true, though, especially the point about the heat.

Hi TBird,
Can you remember what year of bottling this was?
Today I bought two of these (sale: 2nd bottle half price!) and noticed they had a 2005 and a 2008 bottling.
For the sake of comparison I should have bought one of each (didn't think of that in the shop), but bought two 2008 bottlings.
Thanks.
