Look: Lightly cloudy. Somewhat darker than the '47... more mahogany than light brown in its tint. Still a red drink, though.

Nose: Some VA (but not much). Citrus leaning toward vitamin C tablet rather than any particular fruit.

Taste: Very nice. Smooth but full. Citrus and acid like the Sandeman 20-yr old tawny, but not as overt. Dried apricot mellowed by fig and prune.

This was my WOTN. As with the '47, I felt that this Port stood up to anything when I started comparing head-to-head. It also went REALLY well with my filet mignon and truffled mac & cheese. I was a little disappointed in the color and cloudiness... if this had had the bright and vibrant color of the '42 Hooper it could have been a real stunner.
