Just opened another bottle of this. The cork was quite wet but much more solid - it needed proper extraction with a corkscrew as opposed to just falling into the bottle whole. Having opened a few of these now, they are what I would call Jekyll and Hyde ports! Some are awful and others very acceptable. This bottle is very pleasant, with no real musty taste or smell at all. Very enjoyable as a quaffing port ahead of the next week or so with more interesting things to look forward to!
