1997 Gould Campbell vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Light colour and paling rim. Quite closed on the nose with a bit of heat showing through. Good body, very sweet and fruity, full of dark cherries and bitter chocolate tannins. A big aftertaste, which fills the mouth with fruit and the cheeks with dark chocolate. Very long and delicious. Will be a lovely port. 91/100. Tasted 27/11/08.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
