1997 Andresen LBV (unfiltered)

Post by RonnieRoots »

Tasted January 2004:
Its color is very concentrated dark red with some brown in it, that shows some age. Predominantly chocolate and cherries in the nose. It has a warm, dark taste. Again with lots of chocolate and cherries, and also some mocha. Very smooth and fairly light bodied. It's an easy drinker, but a pleasant easy drinker.

I quite like it, because the port has a genuine own style, with all these dark flavours. However, it lacks complexity and backbone to make it an outstanding port. But, I would consider buying it again. 85 Ronnie Roots points.

I have had this before and entirely agree with your note, even though I didn't take one of my own

I think this is a good QPR port
