NV Romariz Reserve (organic)

Post by Rubby »

Label advices decanting because 'this Port is not pasteurised or refridgerated'. Label doesn't make clear if it's filtered or not.
No sediment on decanting.

decant +0:
Very dark cherry-red colour. Light nose of cherry, apple and a hint of apricot and lemon. Dry on the palette with lots of apple and some plum. Slightly mineral. Very alcoholic. Long aftertaste.
decant +2:
Blueberry has entered the palette.
decant +4:
A hint of redcurrant has come into the nose and palette. Other than that no change.
decant + 24:
It has turned from a dry Port to a medium sweet Port. Not much change on nose or palette.

A descent Ruby without any surprises. Unless you're keen on the 'organic' side of this Port, not really something to look out for.
