A bottle of what seems to be a very rare and elusive wine that, until two weeks ago, had been undisturbed in the Symmington cellar's in VNG since bottling. Gifted to us by Dominic Symmington for this tasting.

My notes from this session were lost. I recall being struck by the depth of colour and structure of this wine. Not what I expected from a 2nd tier label of this age. A very nice glass of port and a big thanks to Dominic for allowing us to taste it.

1970 Quarles Harris: nosing of ‟lovely red fruit”. In the mouth ‟Very soft, fading quickly to nothing; very faint ending”.
