Messias is the house shipper of Gordon's Wine Bar in London. Ben and I had a drink there after work last night. Not wanting to risk the '85 Messias again, I went for the Messias 10-year-old tawny. This is fairly pale for its age (and, bizarrely, identical in colour to the '85). The glasses in Gordon's are not conducive for trying things on the nose but in the mouth this is still quite soft and approachable with huge amounts of sugar and a gentle woody after-taste. It reminds me a lot of the Ramos Pinto 10-year-old: simple and easy to drink.
