Graham’s 1966: palest port of the set, and too orange. Looks old. Faint nose, containing some spearmint. To taste I wrote ‟Thin, not a real ’66. Acidic.”

But some loved it. ‟Ethereal”, I imagine they might have said.

This sounds like a bad bottle or one that has not been stored properly. I have had much better experiences of this wine that this.

I thought this was a fantastic wine, but this tasting would be my first time drinking serious port since Jan 3rd.

Garnet with bricking on the edges and starting throughout.

Sweet candied currants followed by feint notes of lavender.

Milk chocolately red licorice. Smooth lush cherry tussin backed with menthol.
Finishes of milk chocolate and lingers nicely on the back of the throat.

+9 Like the 1963 in color, it is a nice ruby that is very clear and has a hint of bricking. The nose is full of mint and chocolate, with some earthy undertones. The mouth has a big burst of cherry, then a light menthol and celelry note with some acidity. There's also a strong caramel undercurrent. Overall, the tastes come together well for a nice smooth sip. the tail is moderate in length, and definitely has some vanilla in it. 94. (this was my #1 of the night)
