Graham’s 1970: decanted 15:40. Opacity 40%ile, but a lovely dark red hue, and very saturated. Nice looking. Bit closed on the nose. Initially heat, sweetness, red fruit (not black!), then strong length. Will improve over the next few hours.

Graham’s 1970: full lovely red, deep and wonderful. But the nose rather closed, an the taste also below ideal. Thinner than expected, good sticky length in the mouth but not throat, very sweet with red fruit including strawberry.

Good port, but it should have been great and wasn’t.

I had strawberries or light raspberries on teh nose.

This was a bit thin on the palate, bright cherries and raspberries were sweet but thin. The acidity wasn't balanced by the body.

87.

+4 Purply-red, and not clear at all. There's nothing in the nose at first. It smells light and balanced, but the flavors are all hiding. This opens with a big black-pepper taste, but transforms midway into cherries with a bit of acidity. From there, it falls off fast, leaving a moderate length tail (15 sec) full of heat but not flavor. 90.
