Re: 1977 Graham
Grahams 1977: translucent red fading to brown. Once Elys rightly declared that it smelt of ‟mint gum” all my other descriptors dropped out of the race. Nosing of mint gum. Tasting of mint and heat, with nothing behind it. Entirely drinkable basic port.

Re: 1977 Graham
I've had this port quite a few times, but never encountered this mint thingy. Odd.
Re: 1977 Graham
Foul, I cried!
I've had this many times before and was taken aback by the double mint gum nose.
Spicy and very minty, but with a watery mid palate that reminded me of asian pears.
Later on some red fruit started showing.
The finish starts off with birch, but ends very bitter.
Rating withheld.

I've had this wine many times and never encountered the minty notes nor the browning. Sounds like a bad bottle.

Re: 1977 Graham
+9 Dark ruby, not clear. There's a rough nose with jeff identifying mint gum and steph finding pear. I find some chocolate in it, too. Tastes of fruits, and artificial bubblegum flavor, with a bit of mint on the side. it's too sweet, very simple, and rather weak. Unfortunately, it then has a long tail of the same.
+33 Hey there's fruit in that first sip! but... it's back to rough by the second.
