A bottle that was opened in an emergency 24 hours ago. Not note taken during said emergency but some left in the decanter for this evening.

Inky black. Powerful smell of young red fruits with a little spirit. Enormously thick and chewy texture. Blackcurrant jam. Some heat on the palate but not enough to distract from a good long mouthwatering finish.
Excellent port that is still far too young to be used and abused in the manner in which this bottle has been.
