1968 Graham's Malvedos Vintage Port

Post by DRT »

Tasted 8 Oct 2005 - the day I broke my hand skiing

Cork out in one piece - one handed 88) .

On Decanting
Dark red colour with clear rim. Very closed nose. Fig taste with no heat - not much of a finish

+2 Hours
Still not much on the nose. Soft and smooth with a hint of licorice. Not fruity. Better finish than before. Strange, but nice. Very dry.

+4 Hours
Drying out but a little more fruit than before. Still very nice, but isn't Vintage Port always nice with this many painkillers :?

+24 Hours
Not much on the nose. Becoming harsh and spirity. Tastes like treacle - must drink the other 5 bottles in one sitting (each  )
