1991 Ramos-Pinto: received in the post from Eric D, so decanting time unknown. Strong nose of cedar and smoke and dark stewed fruit. Taste simpler, being sweet, stewed plums, and medium length. Very sweet indeed. Nice juice; needs another half decade.

Eric's generosity. Nose of floral violets, smoke, cinnamon, dark purple fruits.
Great body with generous tannins, blueberries mixed with a light fruity coffee. Medium fruit, the finish turns into a slight bitter dark / milk chocolate blend.

A nice enjoyable port to drink in the next few years.

91.

Thank you Eric! I received this one as well. A lovely port, fruit on the nose, lots of fruit, orange and chocolate inside. Still tasting a bit dry from the tannins, with a short tail. Sadly I didn't discover it in the mail until a few days of freeze-thaw had passed, so I hesitate to pass numeric judgment.

The bottle was promptly refilled and sent back into the system.

I do have a couple of these and I was about opening one, but leave that for later. Thanks for the TN.
