1975 Fonseca

A lone bottle bought as part of a mixed lot last year, my only F75, and (I think) the first time I have tried this wine.
Decanted yesterday. Virtually no sediment emerged from the bottle. Nice colour, if a little pale, small amount of bottle stink.
At D + 0 it was a little harsh and lacking composure, but very Fonseca, its luscious signature loud and clear.
A little improved at D + 10hrs, but left overnight in the hope it would find some composure.
Now at D + 30 hrs it is much better, but there is still a fiery edge on the palate. It is not quite fully mature.
This is not however, a typical '75, and might narrowly outgun both F80 and F83 if the trio were tasted blind.
Will return tomorrow to score, but this is clearly one of the winners from this vintage.
