1995 Smith Woodhouse Madalena

A superb wine from an undeclared year. Deep, black and grapey, this is a black fruit powerhouse with a stunning nose of violets. Nicely sweet but not excessively so. The tannins are gripping but starting to smooth out after 10 years in bottle, and the finish is impressive and long. TN written in Sept 2005.
