Kindly supplied by Uncle Tom and the first of these I have opened at home. I have tried on at a TCP offline I believe, courtesy of AHB.

This is a dark red colour with lots of different smells. Coffee strangely comes to mind as the prominant one. To taste, it is very powerful - a real instant port fix! Very tannic and with a long aftertaste. I am actually enjoying this a lot more than I even expected to.

In style, it reminds me of the 1987 Malvedos I have tried recently.

I do agree with Tom's comment that this probably has a lot of life left in it and may be even better in 5-10 years. I am just not sure I have the patience for that. Uncle Tom gave it a 5-6 very recently. Perhaps my drinking is less distinguished than Toms, but I would shade it a 6 for now and a 7 for the future. To be fair, Tom did say he was possibly a bit harsh!

Thank you Tom.
Ben
