Each of the paragraphs below are separate notes taken completely blind over a period of a few days:

Spicy nose. Good weight with big tannins and acidity. Not raw, just big and bold. Finish is dominated by tannin. Slightly lacking fruit but has not been open long.

Same nose. Fruit now coming through. Still big and bold and very well structured. Very dry finish of black fruits. Excellent wine.

Dull nose. Now a big fruit bomb entry. Tannins more pronounced now and a little heat in the finish. A big wine!

Some spirit on the nose. Huge thick blackcurrant entry. Lots of acidity in the mid palate and an immense finish dominated by powder-dry tannins. Great wine. All the things I expected of a top notch young VP and simply delicious.

Nose a little dull. Delicious thick dark fruit entry. Good acidity. Tannins are immense but not raw. This is a blockbuster wine. Excellent.

Spicy nose. Big thick entry of cherry and dark chocolate. Absolutely delicious. A very balanced finish that is not overpowered by the big tannins. Great wine.
