Tasted as part of DRT's Review of 2007 Cask Samples
Each of the paragraphs below are separate notes taken completely blind over a period of a few days:
Stinky nose. Smooth and thick entry with raspberry and sharp acidity. Ripe tannins and a little hot. Finish is extremely dry.
Vegital nose. Not pleasant. Deliciously smooth blackcurrant entry. Tannins and acidity both good in equal measure. Heat has all but gone. Long dry finish. Much better than before.
Still has that horrid nose. Massive blackcurrant entry, good balanced structure. Finish is incredibly dry. A huge brute of a wine that will go on for decades.
What is that nose all about? Good thick texture - grapey, raw fruits. Big acidity and mouth-suckingly dry finish.
Very thick and smooth. Massive black fruits with great structure and balance. Mouthwatering finish.
