2007 Cockburn

Post by DRT »

Tasted as part of DRT's Review of 2007 Cask Samples

Each of the paragraphs below are separate notes taken completely blind over a period of a few days:

Alcohol and molases on the nose. Thick and chewy with a good balance of acidity, fruit and tannin. A big wine with a very, very dry finish.

No alcohol on the nose now. Blackcurrant jam - very thick and chewy. tart red cherries and dark chocolate. Immense finish full of fruit and big tongue coating tannins. A big wine.

Violets on the nose. Big smooth and delicious entry. Acidity quite low in comparison to the big bold tannins in the finish. Excellent.
