2003 Kopke LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled in 2008. Filtered when bottled. Deep red, opaque centre. Acidic blackcurrant on the nose. Medium bodied with a good acidity level and delightful blackcurrant fruit. Delicious development and some tannins showing in the mouth. The aftertaste is light and initially dominated by the tannins but with a good level of fruit. 84/100. Drunk 28 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
