1964 Quinta do Noval Nacional vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Ex-cellars in October 2006. Pale red / brown in colour, lightly coloured and transparent centre, very pale rim. Warm and rich scents of christmas spices on the nose. Sweet in the mouth, soft redcurrant jelly and a lovely spiciness. This is big and mouthfilling. The aftertaste is big and long and full of bitter oranges. Very sweet and lovely. Perfect for drinking now. 94/100. Drunk 27 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
