Clear ruby that's starting to brick through out.

Nose of curry spices and menthol with a slight red tea coming through a little swirl and baked cinnamon and cedar appears

Like a tawny dipped cigar!

Very spirity on entry, the flavors starts acidic then builds a spicy black pepper taste on the mouth. The spirits evaporates and feels like it lightens up all of the cavities in your head. Orange peels on the palate with a slight bitter finish.

Will have to let it settle and open up.

Hmm. This doesn't sound like a good example of this wine. If this one doesn't get any better please find another source at some point and give it another chance as it can be extremely good

At the 7 hour point of open decant, this turned into sweet tea, with baked cinnamon on the nose with a brown sugar and molasses mouth feel. The body definitely builds up here. Orange peels on the finish.

Definitely requires a longer decant at this stage in 2009.
