Very kindly supplied by AHB via Royal Mail in a 60ml sample bottle. Decanted a few days ago. The ullage described by AHB as mid-shoulder.
A surprising amount of red in the colour with no browning. Initially, sweet red cherry on the nose with a little spirit. A swirl in the glass reveals a rather pungent vegital stink. A lovely soft and thick entry with violets and bitter chocolate. Huge waves of sweetness and complex flavours are followed by a long mouthwatering finish. Delicious, except the nose.
A big thanks to AHB for his generosity in sharing this fabulous wine.
