This was quite pleasant but the levels of acidity and heat don’t bode well for the future. I can imagine that, in the longer-term it will break down and become like one of the lesser of the older Warres.

There was something wrong with this tasting. Most of the vintages had a dry sourness not usually seen in Warre. I suspect dirty decanters, though other causes are possible. Hence these TNs should not be interpreted as typical of the performance of Warre.

W77: red fading to pink. Nosing of strawberry and sweet red fruit. Soft, and soft red fruit. Again, an acidic ending.
