Churchill 1985, at D+0. Dark red, youthfully so, quite opaque. Unlike the RP85 no purple. Nosing of big red fruit, maybe strawberries. Like taste, big and luscious. The best of the three.

My daughter (aged 3) said ‟it smells like mint”, which it didn’t to me.

Ch85, from D+4hr to D+8hr. The richest and best texture of the three. Initially I thought more heat than the RP85, then I thought less. Maybe strawberry fruit. Aftertaste: alcohol or pepper? I asked Christophe, who thought it in between the two.

Conan: musky. Like the bark of a tree that fell down some years ago. (I wonder whether Conan had muddled his RP85 with his Ch85.)

Perhaps Conan would have prefered the RO85?

While yummy, it sounds like this bottle is somewhat different than the one we shared in Paris?
