1977 Niepoort Vintage Port

Tasted within the Niepoort Range on Nov 27th with Dirk Niepoort:
Still slightly closed. We compared the 77 together with the 78:
Strong nose with fruit and malt-notes. Much more under the skin - still somehow closed, though decanted for 6+ hrs. Palate intense with strong honey notes, malt and some background fruit.
Aftertaste with a good weight.
This Port is still closed, but will be very nice in 10 years from now
