Tasted during a wonderful tasting, hosted and prepared by Gustavo, in the Graham's lodge (26/11/2009)
To my shame, this is only the second time I tasted this particular port. I was, therefore, very happy that Gustavo included it in the line-up. Beautiful, deep colour, and impressive from beginning till end. Lovely floral, fruity nose, lots of depth, complex and complete. It has that silky Vesuvio touch, but is also still a bit backward: dark and brooding. Lovely long finish, showing bay leaf, dark chocolate and coffee. Impossible not to love.

I also tried this in the Graham's lodge a couple years ago and I was likewise impressed with this top notch port. I wish I had more than one bottle in my cellar. Bill

Understandable. I had the V94 last time at Vesuvio about a year ago. Amazing. I just ordered some Mgs. of. Love the wine, love the cases and love Gustavo.

It is an amazing port indeed, and it was great of Gustavo to include it in the tasting. Gotta love them both.
