I never used to care much for young colheitas, pretty much regarding them being bottled premature. I must say that I'm starting to change my point of view, as the combat between ruby and tawny in such ports can be very interesting. And this port is a very good example of that.
A solid nose with hints of fruit, half-dried figs and raisins. Full-bodied, with the same array of fruit, complemented by some milk chocolate and a hint of tannin. Some nutty tones shining through. Very positive surprise.
