1997 Quinta do Noval VP

Impenetrable purple in colour. Marzipan, dried figs, violets, youngberies, intermingled with spicy coffee beans and black cherries on the nose. Full-bodied, so smooth, finely woven tannins but with dense underlying texture. 20.5% alc. rel. Long finish. This VP did not deteriorate in the least, but seemed to put on weight after the 1st tasting - drank up after 5 days. Great port. Lot 9147.
