1970 Dalva vintage port
Mid-red in colour, giving the impression of a mature port. Sweet and spicy on the nose, but with a streak of lime acidity. Sweetness holds through the palate, with a good balance between fruit and ripe acidity and a decent aftertaste. 82/100. Drunk 17 Dec 2009.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Brick red fading to brown. Nose of smoke. Taste: mature nice port. Weight middling to middling+. Good drinking port.
