1997 Rozes vintage port
Young in colour, clear centre. Quite closed on the nose, but with a vibrant redcurrant acidity. Fruity in the mouth, restrained but nicely balanced on the palate. Perhaps a little short on the palate, but goes extremely well with steak-frites. Light, fruity and pleasant. 85/100. Drunk 17 Dec 2009.

Decanted four days previously. Medium-light, lots of fruit. OK, with food better than that.

You (and Derek in another, previous thread) are absolutely right. Undrinkable within the first 2 days because of the striking alcohol. On day three a nice VP.jdaw1 wrote:Decanted four days previously. Medium-light, lots of fruit. OK, with food better than that.
