An unlabeled bottle, appearing to be old glass. The cork was branded Taylor 1935 although the glass of the bottle appeared to be 20 years older.

A light, burnt siennna colour; very transparent. A little oxidised on the nose (mid-shoulder fill), smelling of burnt oranges and rosemary. Smooth in the mouth; dry, acidic and slightly hot. Some good complexity and flavours on the palate. Pleasant and gentle aftertaste, one which grows quite impressively in size and weight. 84/100. Drunk 17 Dec 2009.

My notes were becoming more concise by this stage of the evening: ‟brown, hint of red”, and ‟lots of acid”.
