Deep red in colour, and with a transparent centre. Very little on the nose, other than some faint sweet redcurrant. In the mouth this is young and full of youthful fruit. The sweet, brown sugar fruit flavours come through in the late mid-palate and compensate for the slightly harsh acidity in the early mid-palate. The lovely, balanced aftertaste is light and enjoyable and dominated by flavours of molasses and toffee. 88/100. Drunk 11 Feb 2010.

Bright red color (even in bad light) -- this was the easiest of the ten or so colheitas to drink, as the alcohol was fully integrated, and the texture of the wine was rather smooth, with balanced transitions from attack to finish. Sweet red fruits, almost candied, with just a bit of butterscotch on the tail end. While I enjoyed this wine, and rated it my second favorite of the night, there was a bit of depth/complexity/nuance missing from it. I described it as 'fun to look at, not much to talk to."

Perhaps what surprised me most was learning it is a 75, as this compares quite favorably against a variety of 75s tasted just two weeks ago.
