Had this port in Feb 2004 in a nice restaurant in Scheveningen:
Due to the candle light, the colour was difficult to see: it looked bright golden-brownish. It smelled like dried citrus, pineapple and prumes. Absolutely no hint of alcohol. This is how a tawny should smell. It also had a smokey flavour and maybe even some hints of milk chocolate.
The taste was as the smell expected it to be, but more intense and some added flavours of hazelnut, apricot and more tropical fruits (e.g. starfruit). Overall, it is a very smooth and delicate port.
The finish just did not stop and was very smooth. Lots of dried tropical and citrus fruit ending with apricots and raisins.

I know the bottle was recenly opened, but I don't know the bottling date.

I'll give it 92 points.
