1992 Graham's Malvedos (half bottle #2)
Tasted as part of a vertical of 24 Graham's and Graham's Malvedos vintages at The RAF Club, Piccadilly, London, on 22nd March 2010.

The links: *Please note that the 2008 Cask Sample was donated to this tasting by the Symington family before the final blend was complete so this may not accurately represent what the 2008 Graham's or Graham's Malvedos will be, should either of these be approved and declared later in 2010.

Alas I was unable to take a tasting note of this port.

With the half-bottles #1 is from Paul Symington's side of the table and #2 is from Richard Maysons'.

Though in considerably better condition than the other 1992, I wasn't convinced that this was entirely undamaged on the nose. In the mouth it was very nice but not great.

From ½ bottle. Generous red colour, lighter than the 1990 shown alongside and with a clear centre. Some harshness on the nose, but also some floral overtones; not particularly attractive. Nice texture, slightly stewed fruit, subdued tannins and an attractive pepperiness. Dry aftertaste, cheek filling and a pleasant blueberry fruitiness. 85/100.
