N.V. Croft Porto 10 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto (4/12/2010)
A far as I can recall this was my first time with this Port. I really enjoyed the prunes, caramel, and candeid pralines this had on the palate. With some good solid acidity and a hint of tannins and fruit, this showed youthful yet mature notes at the same time. While I liked this the first day, it really showed best the next day when some heat subsided and the flavors seemed to meld together. I found this for $20 a bottle and at that price, or even a little more, is a very good deal for this 10 year Tawny. 90 Points.

Axel was so kind to offer me some of this Port when I visited him in March 2009 at his home. I found this 10 year old Tawny to be in a more burly and rustic style. Nevertheless I really liked it.
