W47: orange with a hint of red, and about 75% translucent. Subdued nose, with marmalade. Massive heat, early-palate especially. The fruit all gone. Long, but dried out.
Later that evening I thought this more dried out than the
W45.

On the night: Slightly darker than the 45 with oranges on the nose, a hot entry and a very dry finish.
4 days later: Stinky nose - soft and flabby mouthfeel with aniseed and a good length. This glass had the very strange characteristic of becoming progressively better from start to finish. Very strange and ultimately very nice.

W47 at D+9 days: a sample bottle was shared with the Supreme Commander Port-Drinking Forces France, so I had a mere 3cm³. Very soft, with a little of that oleaginous mouthfeel, with heat, but otherwise too soft. No obvious fruit flavour. Nine days is too long.
