W55: darkest of the oldies (≤1966). Again, the initial mouth sensation is heat. A little dark fruit, early palate, fading fast leaving the heat. Orange caramel, that flavour note being repeated about 1½ hours later. My second favourite, because of the richness and well-meldedness of the sugar.

Dark red. Some red fruits on the nose. A nice smooth entry with sweet black cherries and a good long finish. My wine of the night.
