Slightly corked, but thankfully still drinkable (especially if, like me, you do not find a slight cork taint as bothersome as other defects). Still dark in the mouth, with quite a bit of fruit; robustness and complexity that made me prefer it to the Graham’s 1977.

I have now drunk this wine four times and three times it has been spoilt in some way

D77: red, hint of brown. Early in the evening, soon after decanting, with heat and red fruit, and particularly tart on the side of the tongue: very drinkable. As the evening progressed it fell apart, within three hours becoming too unpleasant to consume. A bad bottle, alas.

Started off ok - if a bit dull. Got much worse as the night went on as this, sadly, was corked. Shame. Now 0/3 for 77 Dow :crying:
