Popped and poured because I can't take any more guiness, the local shop had this or the sandemans

Licorice, rooty and peppery on the nose

Very spicy and tannic with a sweetness that shows when your mouth gets used to the tannins . The fruit isn't discernable and the spirits really burns the soft palate.
Tons of black pepper, bitter cup of coffee mixed with 2 sugar packets.
Dark chocolate with a strong oak wood finish that lingers.

i can see this targeting the dry red drinkers but the tannins are too much for me. It needs much more fruit to balance it out.

80.
