No label. No branding on capsule. This could be embarrassing.

Cork clearly branded ‟1960”, and also a shipper, there being space for 8ish characters, the characters just after the middle being ‟EM”, and maybe an ‟A” next. Phew.

Decanted about 14:45.

S60: nosing of sweet cherries maraschino cherries. To taste there is heat, medium-sweet cherries, and an undertaste of strawberries. At its peak. PP suggested ‟marzipan”, not found by me.

For me, third-placed in the WOTN competition.

A strange, almost sandpaper/desert component on the nose. Actually reminded me most of a level out of Mario Brothers 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, but let's not go there there just now. Too much heat in the mouth for me, without any real effort to compensate. Shows good structure, but this MUST have been better 10+ years ago. 84pts

Mature red, promising some elegance. A lively nose, very floral and with some sweet, dusty plum. Sweet, medium bodied and a delightful texture; full of fruit and with a good complexity - a big palate presence. Delicious aftertaste; big flavours that are full of red licorice and black pepper. 88/100.

Pepper on the nose. Quite light in the mouth but very tasty with damson jam and a nice long finish.
