2008 Graham's Quinta dos Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Rather subdued on the nose, offering violets and stewed back fruit. Silky texture, with a good body and plenty of flavour. Tannins are soft and subdued and this port has less brutality than some of the vintage. Full of fruit all over the palate. Big, fruit dominated aftertaste with plenty of blackcurrant skins on the finish. 88-90. Very much an elegant style from the vintage - and drinking beautifully right now! 5 July 2010.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
