Hot but lots of things going on. Dark fruits, nice balance of tannins and acidity, good long finish and much more drinkable than a few years ago. Could well be the star in the future.
Port is basically a red drink

Small hints of age. Dark red in color, very good structure. Very fruity, seducive nose with raspberries and cherries, fresh plums. Very fresh palate with a variety of red berries and cherries, tiny bit of acidity. Long, full and extremely pleasant aftertaste. Will not last as long as the 2003, but do we really need to wait that long to enjoy good port?

This wil be a big star in the next future. Definitely a buy-recommendation.

Eighth flight, palates are getting tired and ports are getting younger. Served alongside with Fonseca 1997.

Oh yes, I loved this port. After a couple of flights with difficult ports this really hit the mark. Very seductive nose, floral, mint, star aniseed, rose petal and red fruit, it has it all. The balance in the mouth is just impeccable. It has big, dry tannins, but the beautiful sweet fruit to match it; dark blackberry and a variety of red fruit. Mild chocolate and coffee on the finish. A superb port that will only get better in time. 94+ points.
