...and the winner is...

All my notes say is "That's Good!" and hell it was. Very dark and the only sediment on decanting was very fine. All fruit balanced with good tannins and the right level of acidity and perfect mouthfeel. One of the best Ports on the market, just excellent and will just get better.
Port is basically a red drink

Fifth flight, seved alongside the Guimaraens 1987.

Black colour, as F85 tends to be, with a purple rim. Very fresh on the nose, with lovely floral tones. Very balanced and great. In the mouth it starts immaculately light, and builds up to a great weight. Dark cherries, black forest fruit, some tar, and roasted spices. Still a bit closed and tight, but so good already and full of promise for the future. Winner of the evening, but not by much (the 76 is very, very close). 96 points.
