Pale orange in colour, looking quite old. Gentle coffee on the nose, or perhaps caramelized orange. Sweet on the tongue, very tertiary with lots of brown sugar and rhubarb (with the rhubarb showing that typical bitterness). Good texture, full bodied. Hollow aftertaste of good volume. Hollow aftertase but lovely long finish, full of brown sugar and raspberries. 84/100.

Light brown in color. Would NEVER have guessed a 1970 VP. Fairly light, a bit medicinal. I guessed a ~1950 colheita, even after AHB insisted it was a 1970VP. Light, sugary, and not terribly enjoyable. Give it credit for being a bit twisted, but not much else. 83 points
