Mz85, for the toasting of the nuptials of SushiNorth. At d+30 minutes dark red, 75% opaque, slightly bitter, such little nose as there is being closed. Like previous just-opened Mz85s.

Presumably Paris is now an almost port-free zone? :-(

Earlier in the evening Mr and Mrs Scribner were toasted with champagne; now it’s time for Mz85. Mid-sweetness at the start, drier at the end, with hints of several fruits: fig and damson I think, but lightly. Good length. It is not fantastic, but utterly drinkable fine vintage port.

A long and happy marriage! (The secret of which is dinner and dancing, every week. He should go on Tuesdays, she on Thursdays.)

Mz85, the following day. Much drier, with something plum-ish having replaced yesterday’s sweeter fruits. Still reasonable weight, but shortened by the passage of time.
